The weather is warming back up and spring is in the air! After another wet and chilly week, it is so nice to see the sun! I am also pretty content as I write this as I have had a weekend full of family and friendship hang out time!! There is still one more day in the weekend, too!! Friday afternoon I enjoyed a hike with some students. I didn’t take many pictures but we had a nice time. It was bright and beautiful. We happened to find this nest. It is the Canadian Goose couple that nested in the same spot last year. Did you know that geese mate for life? Yep, they are committed and have been observed grieving the loss of their partner. Pretty amazing world we live in huh?
Friday evening I hosted another spa party. It was lovely! I had the chance to hang out with a few women who I sincerely enjoy but rarely see. It was a good evening! Plus, we had some yummy Mexicali Soup and Margaritas!
Saturday morning dawned bright and windy. I relaxed all to myself in the morning with coffee and a good book. I also wandered outside with the dogs and a cup of coffee. My daffodils are blooming and the garden is ready for work! I can’t wait. I love to work the soil and run around barefoot.
Then I took Marek to baseball practice and went over to my friend Shari’s house (Raisin-a-ruckus) for coffee, good smelling Scentsy stuff and more girl time! I enjoyed meeting some of her friends this morning. I had to pick the boy up and then drop him off again with a friend, yes it was Alicen. They went to pick our her 4H pigs for this year. Mr. K and Cornelius are their names. Pretty cute when they’re little! Actually, they’re pretty cute when they’re big too! In a weird way. Sure wish we had a couple of pigs for 4H!!
This afternoon I managed to rototill and fertilize the majority of my main garden and go on a motorcycle ride with my lovely husband! I’m pretty excited about the garden again this spring. I have plans to simplyfy and improve my gardens. I also really love rototilling. I work in the garden barefooted and enjoy the soil in between my toes. I feel soooooo awesome when I’m outside working. Seriously, being outside makes me feel great. I wonder if I’m addicted to the direct influence of vitamin D?! I really hope you made it outside today! Whether you were relaxing in a comfy deck chair or doing some jobs outside, I hope you took the time to be thankful for the beautiful world around us! I am eagerly awaiting tomorrow! I am sure it holds fun times! Hope you have something to look forward to tomorrow!! If it’s another sunrise that looks like this I guess our hope for a good day will be fullfilled!!
