#89 Just another manic Monday!

Wow!  This was a super hopping Monday!  It is now 10pm and I am finally flopping down in my chair.   It ended up being a good day but there were definitely some down times.

It was one of those days where, quite literally, one thing followed right on the heels of the next. I hit the door at school and flew from moment to moment with no real lull until I ran out the door early at 2.  I really enjoyed my second hour class, they gave the 8 minute speeches they've been researching and developing for the last two weeks. Only three were able to finish them today but WoW what improvements I saw!  Yay!  Then, an interest meeting with some folks who wanted to "pick my brain" for ideas about service learning and environmental education - two of my true passions!  Fun conversation.

Squeezed in a great walk with the PE peeps on this beautiful sunny day. Woohoo!  Bailed out early because  I've had the honor of being one of the board of education representatives on the interview panel for our school district's new elementary principal. There were 63 applicants!  The administrators narrowed the field to five and we have been interviewing since last week.  What an interesting process!  Gazillions of questions from a panel of eight, a tour of the building and a personal meeting with the super.  It's been interesting and I see that it will be challenging to decide.

After the interview, we had some dinner then headed to my mom's choral concert.  It was excellent as usual. The Shawnee Choral Society is an excellent group of volunteer singers who have a love of singing and  perform two concerts a year. We love to go to these concerts and enjoyed this evening.  We always end the concert with a stop at DQ, yay!  Mini-blizzard to end the day!

What have you been up to lately?  I hope it has been good!  I also hope you have considered ending your day with a mini-blizzard!  Heath bar with chocolate ice cream!  Get one today!
