#81 Outdoor Adventure!

Saturday I took my 4H peeps out to the nature trails for an Earth Day Celebration sponsored by our Conservation District.  It was a hot and windy beautiful day!  We were ready with the “skins and skulls” presentation.  Sadly, most of my peeps had conflicts with the activity but two of them stuck it out all day.  I enjoyed the day immensely.  It was slow and NO stress!  This is the Beaver example of skins and skulls.  Notice we even have super cool tracks to show!  In another life I am an Environmental Educator or as one of my 4H mom friends dubbed me, “Mother Nature”!  I truly enjoy teaching about conservation and ecology.  Both children and adults are interested.DSCF2032

I am a big idea person.  I have been pondering all the things that I really enjoy doing.  I have a theory that this pondering will lead to some type of epiphany for my future.  The thing is, I most love doing lots of things!  Diversity, variation, spontaneity tangential and randomness are some of my favorite things!  It is good to ponder where I am going and why I am going there.  I’m pretty sure life will continue to unfold regardless of my ponders.  Aren’t these boys awesome?  They each chose to research and learn about a couple of their favorite animals.  The boy on the left, Brandon, put a lot of energy into his research and was full of facts to share.    They are both full of life and energy and interest in the outdoors.  I really like spending time with kids exploring ideas and the wilderness!  What do you really enjoy doing?  Do you have the time to do what you really enjoy?  I hope so!

Sunday I am going to hang out with my mom!!  Yay, a mom day!  I have no doubt that I will have some pictures from our adventure at Henry's Plant Farm.  We are going to pot up a container of summer color for future enjoyment!  Enjoy your day!
