#78 and #79 Pondering Spring!

As spring is arriving in Northeast Kansas, I am enjoying the gorgeous weather and being OUTSIDE!  I have been wogging, hiking and walking though the woods catching sight of all the early signs of spring.   I’m feeling energized by the weather but also because I have been enjoying some good DSC_1008times with friends.  Friends and good conversation equal rejuvenation.  It’s amazing how some simple hang out time can make a hard week pass more quickly.  I am thankful for the opportunity to enjoy friends.  I hope you have been having the chance to spend quality time with friends.  Just walking and talking are pretty nice!  Our theory is that if we just fit in some short, time limited visits, it will be easier than fitting in longer gatherings. So far so good!

I have several projects I’d like to get planned out and started this spring.  The beginnings of my garden are sprouting (spinach, peas, lettuce) and I am thinking of all the things I need to get and do to pull it together for phase two.  I’m pondering how I might make things simpler, you know, minimalism in the garden!  Ha!  I love gardening but I would like to putter more effectively and efficiently with an overall better looking garden.  Dreams!  I would like to work on some trails through my woods.  Right now, the underbrush is minimal and I can hike through the woods anywhere!  Soon, I will have to hack through brush to go some of my favorite places.  We will see what projects I can fit into my spring and summer.  DSCF2008While I am feeling energized and content with my relationships, I am feeling pretty disorganized.  No worries, just lazy about planning and follow through.  I might have to kick myself in the butt on the organization part.  If I could just focus my energy it would be awesome.  I’m SO tangential and random.  Can’t get the little things done.  It’s a little about time, a little about motivation and a little about a lack of focus.  It’s funny, if I really focus on the things that Marek does that are the most irritating to me, I see that they are very similar to the some behaviors that I have!  I piddle around, lack focus, I start and don’t finish.  I’m pretty fun though!  So is Marek for that matter.

Well, I’m rambling when I really should be baking cookies for the PTO Carnival.  I think I’ll blow that off and lay in bed with a book!  Hope you have some things to look forward to in the next few days!  Tomorrow I’m taking a hike with my JDLA peeps then heading to the PTO Carnival (the hike is the part I am looking forward to – not so much the Carnival!)  I bet it will be fun at some level, chatting with friends might be on the agenda!  Spring is happiness!  Hope you are feeling happy this spring!
