Thankfulness…

There are many things for which I am thankful, some are simple daily pleasures, others are more complex and private.  Either way, I need to stay focused on the good things I enjoy or sometimes take for granted! 

I am thankful for all my basic comforts – home, heat, water, food!  I eat a significant amount of fresh, whole and healthy food and I love it.  It makes me feel good!

I am thankful for friends.  They help me even when they might not know it.  They can cheer me up, keep me focused and redirect me when I am floundering.  They are also fun and great to hang out with on almost any occasion!

I am thankful for music!  I know this is something I have said before but I do love music!  I am actually thinking my new commuting will reinvigorate my music collection since I have more uninterrupted time to listen to music.  YAY!  Playlists are already pulling up songs I hadn’t listened to for too long.

I am thankful for writing this crazy, random blog.  It is odd, I started this a couple of years ago and I just keep going!  I don’t really edit what I write and I mostly just write random things that I think about.  Some are significant and others aren’t but it feels good to write them all. 

I am thankful for my propensity to be thankful and to be positive.  This is a researched phenomenon, positivity breeds positives!  While I sometimes get more bogged down than I would like, my ability to reframe things into positives is what keeps me going and loving life!  Cheesy, but true!  Feeling crappy and beating yourself up doesn’t make anything better.  Sometimes, finding the positive is hard and sometimes I am too stubborn to even look for the positive.  Eventually though, it seems my positive nature wins out and I kick my own butt and rely on friends for support and then things get better.  I hope that you have a positive outlook or the ability to find one, it helps!
