Tuesday is for being Thankful and 174!

Thankful today for the opportunities to spend time with friends and to be OUTSIDE and to learn new things!!

July 12th, 2011 A Morning at the Lake…

Enjoyed the morning at the lake with friends.  We paddled, swam and played the morning away.  Didn’t even realize it was 99* until we got home!

In lieu of a kayak Julie tested the surfboard paddle technique.  She was hoping that she would be able to SUP which is Stand Up Paddle – google it, it’s cool – but no luck.  Had fun anyway!!

Marek in the canoe.  We enjoyed canoeing around.  Julie and I saw some awesome herons!  I really enjoy paddling slowly around the edge of the lake.  It is cool, relaxing, quiet and gorgeous.  Julie braved bringing her camera in the canoe and got some cool shots.  I was chicken but will be brave next time!

After a morning at the lake, we went home and did a couple of projects.  The weather began to change but we stuck with our plan to learn geocaching with our Outdoor Adventure group.  It was super awesome and merits it’s own post later.  Note the clear sky in the background… an hour later the storm broke and we ran home!  Overall a great day with lot’s of time outside at the lake!
