Well, Saturday was a beautiful day with lots of action for me - GARDEN GIRL! I got so much done in my very giant and disastrous flower beds it was awesome. Marek helped me get a trailer full of free mulch from the county pile! I told him it was the day he became a man! Haha! Pretty great, except I really need about 8 more loads! Lol! I enjoyed the day immensely. Towards the end of the day, I began hearing some thunder rumble across the sky. I finished putting everything away in the shed and headed inside to find some dinner. From that point on the storm began! From our house, high on a hill surrounded by trees, we can’t really see much of the sky this is both good and bad. Good because we stay calm and just keep going. I finished grilling up some chicken while the tornado sirens blew then we all headed down to the basement for dinner. Smile. It was nice. Relaxing even! We actually got pretty lucky at our house there was baseball sized hail around us but we only had pea and golf ball sized! We just had crazy rain and wind.
I’m telling you, this week has been a full one. Yep, full of crazy weather, graduations and activities. Sunday I was one of the BOE peeps who handed out diplomas to the OHS peeps. We had a lovely ceremony then our family joined some family friends for graduation gatherings. Nice. It was a beautiful day and evening after such massive weather Saturday.
I’ve been praying for the people in Joplin who took a hit by a level 5 tornado on Sunday evening.
Hope you are all safe and secure where you are!
