Sunday morning sunshine

And humidity! Well, I'm so busy with things I am procrastinating by writing this blog! Happiness is being in the thick of things! We greatly enjoyed our trip but I'm happy to be home. I actually could use a day of complete vegetation but I won't have one for a couple of weeks! Ah, well at least I have an hour or so each morning for me time with my coffee!

This morning I harvested some bounty from my very messy and overgrown garden.

Yummy! Homemade salsa on the way. I will post my fresh salsa recipe later. I've had recent discussion regarding the merits of fresh salsa from canned tomatoes versus fresh from fresh. I think they are both great but if you have more fresh tomatoes than you can eat make fresh from fresh! Wow, I'm a circular thinker! I also need to come up with some things to do with butternut squash!

The 4H fair starts tomorrow. Woohoo! A week of hanging out at the fairgrounds in the heat can't be beat!

Marek has many fair entries and I am proud of his work. I am eager to see all the youth that I have worked with this year and their final products. It is always a good time. Geology is coming together and arts and crafts projects abound!

Today we are going to drive the two hundred mile route for the Fight Against Diabetes fundraiser and motorcycle ride we have been planning. It will occur on August 14 so we need to fine tune the route. The first T-shirts will be ready this afternoon. Here's the artwork.

I'm excited because this means Marek will have his shirt when he presents this project to the judge tomorrow and when he speaks to the Harley Owners Group on Tuesday! Exciting times ahead!

This afternoon we will relax for a couple of hours with my friend Julie and her kids at the lake with some sangria and water play! Yay! Hope your summer is keeping you happy and fulfilled! Mine sure is!
