I love the premise of this and the research that backs it up! Great news! When we express our gratitude in any way – even in tiny lists or short prayers, it increases our feelings of well being. I have been working on being thankful and showing gratitude more often so this was excellent reinforcement! Today is a great day to show your gratitude – once a week makes a difference! Make a list of a few things that you are grateful for when you read this!
1. I’m grateful for the break in the super hot weather! Today was beautiful – NOT about 95!
2. I’m grateful that today was a good day for Marek and me. We have been struggling with some bad habits but today we kept our pledge to slow down and communicate more positively. Great and enjoyable time spent together!
3. I’m entirely thankful that we have a new school nurse who is actively involving herself in Marek’s diabetes care at school. How wonderful to know that she is paying attention and checking in on him. Today she organized a mini-in-service for staff. She did great! She is methodical and thorough so that everyone feels comfortable with an emergency.

6. I am grateful that I have a job that is interesting and challenging and full of surprises! My service learning class is starting a blog! I hope it works!
7. I’m grateful that I have plenty of healthy food and clean water to eat and drink.
8. I’m grateful for MUSIC! It makes me feel good!
9. As ever, I am grateful for the wonderful family and friends who surround me! I pray daily that I will do a reasonable job of sharing my genuine gratitude with each of them! Thanks, peeps!! Love you!!
What are you grateful for today? Any day? Make a little list, say it out loud to your peeps! Think about what you might have to be grateful for each day – research shows you’ll feel better for it!! I know I’m feeling GREAT!
