Well, it has finally rained! Thank God! It was SO hot and dry and horrible and last night and yesterday it rained! The temperature dropped and is now glorious! It may be a short reprieve, but it is working for me! I had a good day at school. I came home, got the dogs and walked the 3/4 of a mile to the bus stop to pick Marek up. Gorgeous, yet a little toasty. We walked back home and crashed out for some relaxation. Marcus has been playing softball on Wednesday nights but the glorious rain caused a cancellation. He came home and suggested a motorcycle ride with dinner! Yay!
Our ride was gorgeous since the rain washed the roads off and the stormy weather caused pretty cool clouds and a good looking sunset. Everything is green again. We allegedly got about 4 inches of rain. Verdant green fields and forests abound once again. I also watched the news, weather will be gorgeous Friday through Monday (Labor Day)! Looking forward to a weekend of camping and companionship with the fam and some friends. Can’t wait!
Sixth grade is rocking awesome for Marek so far, Marcus is about to hire a new full time employee and I’m happy with many aspects of my job. Check out the two new student blogs we are starting! We are only ten days into school but the students are excited about blogging and seem to be unaware that it is writing! Glory be! Check out my third hour blog at http://www.jdlaservicelearning.blogspot.com/ then, cruise on over to the newest addition at our Kitchen Blog at http://jdlacooking.blogspot.com/ so far they are short and new but soon they will be amazing and illuminating! That’s the goal anyway. Actually, the Kitchen Blog will have some recipes which will have been tested on students and staff. Already we have made some delicious meals so check it out!! Feel free to give us some feedback!
I’m feeling grateful here at the Blunderosa and I’m hoping you are feeling it at your place too!! Look for the good in everything you do and you’ll be amazed at your blessings!
