Pretty amazing, huh? Sadly, this beauty didn't prevent the temperature from climbing to the upper nineties with a heat index of over a hundred. Man! While I really try not to complain here, this is getting OLD! Hot and dry - bleh! Great sky though!
I then learned that I really do get to visit San Francisco for a conference! Woohoo! Funding for education being what it is these days this is amazing! It will be a good conference and I will get some down time to sightsee! It is also on my birthday! The down side is I will be on my own. No family and only acquaintances to hang with during the down time. Always two sides to life. Thinking of cool things to squeeze in to a visit already! Super excited! Haven't been on a cool expensive trip for too long! Adventure!
I had a weird but good day at work. The year is moving forward moderately well. I am really enjoying the classes I teach - two new and different, one PE. I am grateful that my job is varied and challenging without being overwhelming.
I am enjoying my book

and have found more time to read lately. Yay! I love to read and have a huge list/pile to enjoy. This is a good book and the second in a series of three. Love it! Marek has been reading a great book series by James Patterson called Maximum Ride. I read the first book but now I'm behind. He has read the first three! This is the second book. First one was good - Marek has loved the others and read them rapidly!

I love reading with him. We like to talk about books and we both enjoy young adult fiction. We have talked about starting a book club together. We will see!
I am thankful for this day! Hope your day was full of things for which you are thankful!
