It is the end of June already! Ack! It has been a good summer thus far, marred only by my ponderous job changing processes. That is now past and it’s all fun and hot summertime from here out. I have pondered a wide array of things of late… I’m random!
There must be a magical balance of goal setting and letting go. It is good to make a basic plan and reach for the stars but if you work too hard to control it, manage it or manhandle it it won’t work. You have to have flexibility.
Expectations are one of the roots of discontent. When we expect things to be or go a certain way we will inevitably be disappointed. Things flow, life happens and changes the path. Standing on the path in outrage gets you nowhere. Release the specific expectations and go with the flow.
A big clue to the nature of a man is revealed when he has a pair of fake balls hanging from the back of his truck. He is no doubt a dick. HAHA!
A teaspoon of local bee pollen taken each day MIGHT increase general health, energy and relieve allergy symptoms. Takes pretty bad though. I’ve been taking it since last Sunday, can’t tell if it is making a difference yet.
Everywhere you look there are signs and advise to live your life the way you really want to live. Be yourself, do what you want to do, find your happiness… really this only works to a certain extent. It must be implemented with caution. What we really want to do must always be guided by thoughts of how what we do might impact others, particularly those we love the most. There are several things that I have considered doing that would please me but they wouldn’t be that great for others. Good thing I have a modicum of self control!
Turns out, junior high age kids are pretty funny to hang out with and a slight pain in the patootie to parent.
No one wants to cook dinner but everyone wants to eat. hmmmm
Well, as you can see I am full of deep thoughts. Maybe I should change the name to …Deep Thoughts with Denise! Have a great day people!
