Just a quick note to you. Today was good but hard. I told my boss I was leaving JDLA. That went smoothly. Then, I started telling my coworkers. Ugh, hard! I've worked in the same program for 14 years. Truth be told, I've poured a lot of myself into that program and was instrumental in shaping and developing it. I have many mixed emotions about leaving. However, I'm excited about my new position and I'm sure that as my angst over leaving subsides the excitement will build.
In other news, Marek and I are heading off to hunt for rocks on the 4H State Geology Field Trip tomorrow after diabetes camp. It should be fun and interesting. We have gone every year since he was 8! We will miss our usual friends this year though. Several of the people who have always gone with us aren't going this year which is a little hard for us. I'm sure we will enjoy the weekend though. The weather will be beautiful and we will find amazing rocks, minerals and fossils!
Last news of the day, Marek's baseball team won again tonight! Yay, sadly, I worked the concession stand so no pics but it was a good game.
The full week is almost over and I'm glad! This weekend will be awesome and next week my real summer starts with no driving around! Hope your week is going as well, or better than mine!
