Sooo… today was a great day. Really, it was a usual day with some really awesome highlights! I have had plenty of time these last few weeks of activity to be thankful for many things so I thought I would share a few of them this evening..
1. I am thankful that I have a wonderful family.
2. I am thankful for my faith. It is strengthens me.
3. I am thankful for my friends. Today I went to shop for a kayak with my friend Julie. She has been wishing for one and has infected me with this wish as well. She will celebrate her 40th birthday soon and received a great birthday present in the form of this kayak. We found a great sale and we BOTH ended up with a kayak!! I decided that I would like a kayak for my birthday and Marcus agreed that it was doable. So the birthday girls are ready to hit the lake!! We then went to dinner with some other wonderful friends then returned to pick up the kayaks. My other Julie carried the Kayak on her head. I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants. I’m excited to test this kayak out! Mine is red!
5. I am thankful for music and the musicians in my family!
6. I am thankful for my job. I love many aspects of my job and I am lucky to have it. On days that I don’t feel so lucky I focus on the fact that I get 9 weeks off with pay each year!! It is good that this is a big benefit because some days it is a hard sale!!
7. I am thankful for my rich life full of love, family and friends.
This is me, watching TV from the kayak in my living room with a nice glass of wine… always a good plan! Hope you can find something to be thankful for this week. I find that it is best to focus on the positive things you can find in your life. Think… we have electricity, water, ice, refrigeration! What a bargin! Our lives could be worse. I am thankful for those of you who are keeping up with my photos! Really, I appreciate it!!
