Me. Spring! Walking!

This is me walking with my dogs on this beautiful spring day.

Went for a walk today. Yay! Almost 60 degrees and sunny. Pogo, Java and I took a long walk at the trail today. Sadly, Marek and Marcus are both a bit under the weather today so it was girl's night at the trail we had a great time. It was the longest walk Pogo has taken - she's almost four months old. It's amazing how fast an animal with 4 inch legs can run!

I love spring and the outdoors! I saw five or six eagles this afternoon. I was excited to see one of the same eagles I saw last year- a youngling with piebald markings on the underside of his wings. Bald Eagles don't get their white heads until they are three. They also mate for life and return to their place of birth to nest. Pretty awesome. They are of course majestic, powerful and amazing. Sadly, I go wogging with only my iPhone camera so no amazing eagle pics. But...there are two flying high in this picture. Beautiful Kansas!

I love photography. One of the things that has been so interesting to me as I have begun to explore the world of blogs is all the awesome photography. Much of it is done by women. One of my favorites is The Shutter Sisters - they are all amazing! There are bazillions of links there to excellent photographers - apparently all women - with interesting stories and perspectives.

I am inspired and motivated. I also greatly enjoyed the wogging today. A fitness tip, I use Runkeeper free to track my miles and my speed as well as calories. It also makes a neato map with the cool GPS feature. My little wogging story is that I mix walking with jogging to make wogging-my average speed is 4 miles per hour. But I stop to view the wildlife frequently! Sitting by the lake listening to the wind, birds, water - wonderful.
