My musicians…

I greatly enjoyed a music party at the Justus home on Sunday evening.  Gregg and Julie invited friends and family over to enjoy some musical entertainment.  It was a blast!  A variety of friends gathered and played a diverse range of music in the garage.  Pulled pork and potluck combined with some cold beer made the evening great.  The best part for me, was seeing my husband and son playing music together.  Pretty excellent opportunity for Marek to expand his musical repertoire and to play with the big boys.  Excellent opportunity for Marcus to play with his son.  How amazing to watch our son grow up.  I’m sure it is a dream realized for Marcus to play with Marek.  It’s what you hope will happen but you can’t make it come true.  Marek is really developing as a musician.  He did great following along with this group of rowdy guys who jammed for hours.  

It was a lovely evening.  I enjoyed many conversations with friends and acquaintances throughout the evening.  I also really enjoyed the relaxation and no pressure evening as an aid in my school to summer transition.  I love our friends and their friends and family were joyful to meet at the party. My musicians were pretty pooped out the next day, spending most of it either sleeping or vegetating.  We were, of course, the last to leave at about 1am! 

I dearly love my husband and my son.  It was wonderful to see them together enjoying music.  I sincerely love music and live music is one of my favorite things in life.  Seeing them together in this is important to me because it is a major maturational milestone.  Marek and Marcus both aging and aging gracefully!  I look forward to more and more music from these two.  I hope that I will see them playing music as men together for many years to come.  I can’t wait for the next music party!
