138, 139, 140, 141 Frenetic Action…

Wow, life has been hopping for me in the last twelve days!  I haven’t blogged because life has been full to bursting.  Robotics camp segued into the Outdoor adventure campout into preparation for the Geology Field Trip into Diabetes Camp all mixed with baseball and some exercise activities - these are the things that have kept me moving and exhausted by the time evening rolled around.  I usually relax in the evening and blog and read and load up some photos.  However, this transition from school to summer has really left me with no schedule, I just keep moving followed by falling asleep promptly upon sitting down!  I have continued to snap photos and to compose blog entries in my mind!  You may receive some of both in the next couple of days!  Here is an initial catch up entry!!

#138 Tuesday June 7th, 2011 How I love Kansas!  Beautiful and variable.

#139 Wednesday June 8th, 2011  Took an awesome 8 mile bike ride with Marek and his buddy Austin.  Great ride.  We saw a Great Blue Heron, a Ground Hog and a deer along the way.  We also learned a that Marek should disconnect his insulin pump BEFORE taking a long bike ride.  His blood sugar dropped and it was tough to raise it up while continuing to ride.  Lesson learned!  IMAG0223-1

#140  Thursday June 9th, 2011 These are some giant marshmallows in a field on the way to Marek’s baseball game.  Weird, hilarious and surreal.  Cool.

#141  Friday June 10th, 2011 Day one of the State 4H Geology Field Trip.  Three full days of rocks, minerals and fossils!  Oh, my!!  Good trip with some adventure involved.  Happily it was less eventful than last year when Marek ended up in the hospital with dehydration.

Hoping to catch up and keep going within the next couple of days.  Marek comes home from 4H Camp tomorrow – our last scheduled activity for the summer – other than baseball of course!  Hope your summer is full of enjoyment!  Relax!  I know I am about to do so!
