Thoughts on tolerance and love…

“ I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.”

~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

DSCF1596 Well, this is true!  It goes with the old adage that it’s easier to smile than it is to frown.  It’s easier to love.  Even when love is difficult or challenging it is better than hate.  Intolerance is so intolerable!  It’s tough to teach this tolerance for difference unless you start at the beginning of life.   I think it can be done though, I’m working on it in all my interactions with youth.  Teaching tolerance and empathy is so important for our society and our world.  Hate is so hard on people.  It destroys people – the hated and the hater both. I’m with Martin Luther King, Jr.  I too will stick with love!  Join me won’t you?
