Well, it has been a strange week. Home has been full of opportunities for relaxation and contemplation for a change. You can’t beat a hot bath full of detox bath soak (remnants of the spa party)! My work life has been FULL lately with many new students being added to our school. It’s great that our program is needed and that students are being served but sheesh, this week has been a bit over the top. Thus, I am thankful that my life has some naturally occurring balance with opportunities to stretch myself and serve others as well as time for a hot bath!
I am thankful for the warming trend that has allowed me more outside time. Outside time also means more time with Marek and my dogs which adds joy to my day.
I am thankful that I live in the wilderness and can enjoy the beauty in nature each day.
I am thankful that I have friends that are fun, funny, considerate and wonderful.
I am thankful for the sound of birds in the woods.
I am thankful that I have been making some progress on my resolutions – living more healthfully, spending more quality time with family and friends and being more organized. (I’d say that the first two are progressing more effectively but there is more time ahead!)
I am thankful that I have had a relaxing week at home and have dinner plans with my girlfriends on Friday followed by a romantic getaway with my husband and another wonderful couple planned for Saturday!! Let’s hear it for quality time people!!
I am thankful for frozen blueberries (plain, no sugar), Light and Fit by Dannon Yogurt and Kashi Go Lean Crunch, yummy!! Try some today!! 1/2 cup of each, well I sometimes use more berries! Under 200 calories and super delicious and healthy! Breakfast or snack!
I am thankful that NEXT week is Spring Break which will allow me the opportunity to spend some EXCELLENT and QUALITY time with my family and some wonderful yet distant friends as we drive across the country! I am optimistic that the plans for this trip will pull together nicely soon!
How are things going with you? Resolution progress? Quality time with your peeps? I hope so, I recently read a quote somewhere that was awesome and fabulous (sorry that I don’t remember so that I could give credit)
“The days are long but the years are short.” Yep, make some time to relax and enjoy your days and minutes peeps!
