#67 and thoughts of friendship…

DSC_0624 I was pretty lazy today so I ran out tonight and took this picture.  They weather has turned from warm and spring like to cold and, technically still spring like weather!  Fooey!  I really was ready for warm weather.  I wouldn’t mind some cool days but today it actually snowed.  This made it a great day for lounging and relaxing.  I hung out with my friend Julie last night.  We had a talk about friends and friendship.  She is a great friend.  It gave me things to ponder.  I have many, many friends, in fact I would say I have several really close friends.  I am truly blessed to have these diverse and wonderful women in my life.  (You all know who you are!)  My best friends are each unique – well, of course all people are pretty unique, but I guess I mean that I have a wide variety of personality types represented within my friends.  I love each friend for who they are as a person.  I find it interesting that we are not really a homogenous group.  I am really loud and outgoing but I am a good listener and encourager.  Some of my friends are quiet and shy.  Some of my friends are friends with each other, but because Marcus and I each have a wide range of interests, we each have friends from many walks of life.  I have always tried to be a good friend, I think that I am.  I rely on my friends for companionship, emotional support and fun.  I think that my friends aren’t fully aware of how much I need them. I have a pretty positive outlook on life and usually see the best in things and people.  When I get down or disgruntled, I feel better after a little time spent hanging our and relaxing with my peeps.  Each is special to me.  I am thankful for the friends that I have, they help keep my life full of joy and light. (Also, trauma and angst but that is a different post!)   Needing and being needed is such an integral part of being human.  I need my friends and they need me.  Love you all!!
