You remember that we started in Kentucky and then headed to DC? Well, we had a great time in DC! We were able to take in an amazing quantity of sights in the four days we were there. We also had some quality time with friends. From there we visited my 82 year old step grandmother. It was a very meaningful visit for all of us. It had been far too long since we had seen her.
Our stop at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame was pretty cool. Very well done museum with literally tons of memorabilia arranged to present a history of rock. The only sadness was the no photography rule. There were a few guitars in the lobby so ...

My days on this trip have been pretty full with much to ponder. Friendship, parenting, family and history have all made their appearances this week. I will share some of my ponderings on this trip in future posts.
Also, due to this trip, we have missed most of the graphic coverage of the horrendous events in Japan. Such tragedy is beyond words. We saw the earthquake on the seismograph display in the Smithsonian Natural History Museum - it stopped me in my tracks as I realized what it was. I'm not sure what to do about or for these people who now need so much. Praying for them and pondering a way to provide concrete assistance is my current plan. Do you have some idea of how to help them? Share with me if you do!
That's all for now, it's my turn to drive soon. We will have clocked about 2500 miles this trip, pretty cool. Also, I have some 365 photos to load when we get home and find the computer and Internet! (Not to mention some awesome snaps in addition to one per day!)
Looking forward to settling in at home this evening! I'll catch up with you soon!
