Think Spring!

Well, it snowed again! It's cold outside - still. On the bright side, it was absolutely gorgeous this morning when everything was frosted with sparkling frost. I am focusing on positive thoughts and future thinking about spring. I have shaved my legs (not just my ankles but all the way up!), painted my toenails and today despite the 27* feels like 16* weather, I wogged outside!

I actually like winter. The problem is I only really like it for a month or maybe six weeks. This winter has been the coldest and snowiest in a decade. I like the way winter slowly sneaks up on us on the heels of fall. A few snapping fires and beautiful snowfalls are excellent. Sledding once or twice and a couple of snowmen are fun. Watching the birds at the feeder and hiking through fresh snow to look at tracks - awesome! Oh, and I love seeing the Bald Eagles over the river and lake. January and February are excellent eagle watching months.

Despite all this love of things winter, I sincerely hope we go another decade without a repeat of this weather! Soon it will be spring. I am planning gardens in my head and on paper. I am thinking of ways to fill beautiful days. Meanwhile, I fantasize about warm sunshine instead of just sunny sunshine. Although, sunny sunshine is better than no sunshine! Today's sunshine while I wogged!
