Fitness for Life

Eat healthy, stay fit - die anyway! Well, yes except it's how you live that makes a difference. Why not make the effort to feel great while you are alive? The way you feel is connected to your attitude as well as your approach to life and life challenges. It's one of those circular things.

Really, circular is good because if there were no real side effects to being overweight and eating or drinking whatever and whenever we wanted then, really, who would exercise much? However, eating healthy and staying fit is COMPLETELY connected to physical and emotional well being as well as spiritual health. I think the potential challenge is that when you don't have it you might not believe that it will make a difference. It is also MUCH easier to lose it than it is to keep it or to get it back! It just slips away but it does not slip back!

When I am eating healthfully and exercising regularly my body feels good. No back aches, no cramps, good posture and great sleep. I feel strong, sometimes I feel so strong I'm a little delusional about my powers! I marvel when people don't acknowledge that our bodies are completely connected.

As for emotional and spiritual well being and their connectedness to physical well being, of course they are! Feeling good physically provides energy and helps you feel good about yourself. This sounds so simple and basic I think that it must have been intuitive for humans once upon a time. It's worth it to stay focused on the inter-connectedness of mind-body-spirit. Nurturing nothing gets you nothing. Workba little harder and nurture your whole being and you WILL reap the rewards!!

This from a woman who just ate a crapload of cookie dough! Ha! Little boy birthdays are only once a year!
