Well, it’s that time again! Shelley and I are going to compete in the adventure race this Saturday. Neither of us is feeling as prepared as we did last year but we are pretty psyched about the race. We have each had some injuries this year but we are still game and ready to roll!
My stitches are out and I am going to tape the sort of healed up slice to protect it during the race. We are going to drive down to Junction City Friday night and spend the night in a hotel. (This leaves out the long story about the pop up camper not being easy and the large amount of cussing that I did while attempting to get it to work today.) We will take a leisurely trail ride on our bikes to scope out at least part of the potential race course then hit the hay for a good sleep. We will check in at the race start at 6:30 am to get our maps and plot our strategy. I’m excited and sorta ready… I’ll be more ready by tomorrow afternoon!

We did, in fact, take first place in the women’s division last year. We will see how we do this year!! Bottom line is that we will FINISH and we will feel GREAT!
