Holy smokes people! This week is seeming a bit hectic to me! I am getting quite a bit done but it is not relaxing so far! I did drive to and from Manhattan to pick up and bring home my awesomely repaired pop up camper. Ugh, it was a lot of driving but I am excited about upcoming camping. Now I will put it up and reattach the tent so we can camp in it for our adventure race THIS weekend! SHEESH! It’s like it snuck up on me or something! I got my stitches out on Monday as well. Now I have some steri-strips… they are kinda dumb because while they allegedly are adding support they actually don’t stick unless you add some adhesive. This way I won’t crack my slice back open, I hope!
I am going to work at the Challenge Course tomorrow to shadow for an activity. Excited!! I am eager to learn and be part of this excellent program and the fun of being outside. It is a bit hectic to fit this in this week but it will be a good time. I am also going to pick up some last minute adventure race items and food for the weekend. Shelley and I will be camping Friday evening so we can be rested and ready for our race on Saturday. I just have to get the time to put the tent back on the pop up and pack up. I’m hoping for Thursday.
Sadly the boys lost their first tournament game and now they will play Thursday night. Of course, I have a special Board of Ed meeting. I might skip it. It isn’t a long meeting and should be cut and dried. Thursday would be the last opportunity to see the boys in this team play. I do love these guys. There is one really frustrating kid on the team who has a tendency to bring the others down. He had a complete melt down tonight and ranged from throwing stuff to pouting to being a total dickwad. I hope he is able to grow out of this mentality. It’s not good for anyone.
I am juggling several things right now but they are all good things. Things will start to settle down tomorrow and I will focus on getting ready for the race. I am not quite in the swing of things lately but I am working towards a good stride. I’m optimistic.
I hope your life is going well. If or when things get hectic I hope some deep breaths and soothing moments appear in your life! Slow, deep and focusing breaths combined with lots of caffeine make all the difference in managing hectic!
