Well, news from the daily life.
Had a great wog today at the Clinton Lake trails with Shelley. We did about 8 miles. Woohoo! I am still pretty sad about being slow but maybe I will get faster and really… who cares? I am stronger, more fit and feeling healthier than I have ever been.
The horrible heat wave has broken! Finally! It also rained for about a minute today. It is supposed to be in the 90’s this week which is a great improvement. I worked in the garden for awhile today. With the heat break, maybe the summer of the garden can become a reality. I’m harvesting zucchini, tomatoes and soooon I will have cantaloupe and watermelon!
In other news, Marek actually made the legion baseball team! They are the Delaware River Bandits. It’s cool in that 20 kids tried out and 13 were selected. It is horrifying in that there will be 80-100 games! Oh, my. I am excited for him and proud of him. He will need to become more focused, responsible and organized in order to make this work. This will be a good experience for him. I think it will be neat that he will be one of the youngest on the team and have the opportunity to get to know older boys and to learn from them. I am not sure that 80-100 games will be that neat but I am sure that I will find out.
I am working to stay focused on what is important in my life this week. Family, friends and living life. I have taken some steps at getting organized and taking care of business. We are going to get out of debt and do cool stuff. I called and we will be refinancing our house, re-evaluating our life insurance and re-vamping our budget. It will suck but in the end it will be great. I guess that is a good goal. It will be another way that I can focus on family. I love my husband and my son and my parents and in-laws. Focusing on making things be the best they can be… the best goal.
Hope you are doing well. I also hope that you are having some fun times and some good times in your daily life. Harder than it seems sometimes, I know. Let the little things go and find the positive in everything. It’s there.
