#319 Every Little Thing…

Day 6 of Picture the Holidays and almost the end of my 365… Today we were prompted to notice the little things in our lives.  For me, the little things that make me smile are sometimes physically big – the sky, the sun… sometimes they are small moments of whimsy or beauty.  This morning Marek and I drove past a Barred Owl on the way to school.  It was sitting on a sign post.  I really wanted to stop and attempt a photo but we were on time for Jazz band and had to keep moving.  Then I loved the sunrise this morning and I thought about the difference in my days when I start with sunshine.  Although I don’t really mind the winter, I need sun.  Both little and big in my life.  This afternoon I wandered a bit and loved the sun through the grass.  I think this is Little Blue Stem, a grass native to the Tall Grass Prairie.  I love the colors and the tiny detail of each grain… I hope that you each have a moment to enjoy the little things in your day.  I actually think that most of our lives are made of the little moments, little things add up to be a full life.
