Well, big fun! My friend Julie and I hit the Kansas River with our kayaks this Friday. We have been hoping to do this for awhile and magically found time to fit it into our schedules. It was a bit chilly and windy but totally beautiful. I enjoyed the girl time, the scenery, the solitude and the exercise!

There were some pretty shallow spots that involved pulling our kayaks downstream!

I can’t wait to go again. I would like it to be a bit warmer but overall it was awesome. Took us about 4 hours to leisurely paddle our way down river. We saw and eagle soaring overhead, otherwise not a lot of wildlife. Lots of ducks circling around. Just a nice day out with a dear friend! Hope you have an opportunity to hang with your friends soon!!
