Yesterday we drove 9 hours through weird fog. I saw this ...

I have research to do to figure out the use of a tanker full of inedible pork blood! Ewwwww!
We had a fun stop after crossing the Mississippi river. Snowball fight!! Wow! Winter compared to Kansas, it's dry at home.

We got in to Sugar Grove around 4 which was awesome. We spent a nice evening with the folks, Marvin and Gretchen. Opened presents and played some scrabble.
This morning, I woke up early (comparatively) and read blogs in my phone. Finally took Pogo for a walk, which prompts intense pondering each time. To live in the suburbs - Bleh! She thought she found a squirrel and

climbed this tree to seek it. Funny dog! No squirrel in sight!
Visiting here brings happiness in the form of time with family and friends not often seen but it brings a reminder of blessings in our own home. I love where we live: it's warmer, drier, more private and beauty is right out the window! Be thankful for what you have and take satisfaction from your choices. If you live where you want to live and love what you have - be content!
