Things are always hopping around here. I actually love all of the things that we do even when they are somewhat overwhelming. Every once and awhile it just turns out that lots of cool things run together, that is how today feels. Lots of cool stuff needing the details to be wrapped up and finished off. shooeeee… After a day off on Monday for a trip to Children’s Mercy, I went to school and tried to smush all of my usual Monday into Tuesday. Woohee, it was a back to back to back day with a break occurring only when a kid was absent. I magically fit in checking my email. Then, off to the dentist. I actually love going to the dentist. I get shiny clean teeth, chatting with the awesome dental hygienists in the office and a new toothbrush. I love a new toothbrush!
I made this cool hand art with taxedo.com and I think it’s pretty cool. You can put in any number of words and poof, they randomize and fill the shape you choose. I think that there are some other cool things to do with it, I hope that some day I will have some more time to play with the choices and figure out something cool. Seems like it has potential.
Meanwhile, We are settling into fall here. Thank goodness, it has been so hot for so long it is just nice to see the weather let up. I am kicking the exercise back up, although there was no time for that today. Tomorrow is a football game. Yesterday we went to our quarterly visit at Children’s Mercy. Oh boy. That was a long visit. It turns out that it was time for annual labs so our appointment was long. At least we were together. We will need to buckle down on the diabetes care. Marek does pretty well but hasn’t been cutting the mustard during the school day. We will be trying out a new insulin technique and he will be stepping up his attention to diabetes care. I am optimistic that he will improve and that it will improve his health. Diabetes scares me sometimes.
I am looking forward to the rest of the week. Tomorrow we will have a football game, always fun. Thursday I will finally deliver my birthday gift to my friend Ali – a photo session! She wants most of her pictures to include her horse Pumpkin. I think it will be fun to take her picture and to hang out with her and her horse, I hope the weather holds! Happily we are doing nothing on Friday. Wonderful! We need a night at home to chillax. Marek has been a bit stressed lately and we need a night of rest and rejuvenation. Saturday and Sunday we will have a baseball tournament. Happily, the first game isn’t until 2 so we will also get some down time on Saturday. Woohoo! Should be a lovely rest of the week, I am sure it will pass rapidly! Hope you are looking forward to something good! Enjoy some time outside if you can…
