Wow, this week has flown past for me. I think that is good, but I’m not sure. I like a week that goes past at a speed that allows me to remember what all I did. It was a good week though. I continue to enjoy my job. Each day is different and has different highs and lows, honestly there haven’t been many lows so that is pretty sweet. I have been getting in the rhythym of fall. The weather is gorgeous lately and that helps my attitude. I am hoping that we have a long fall but with the extreme summer it seems likely that we will soon be freezing cold.
I have been taking more pictures lately. The drive I make each day usually allows for unhurried scenic viewing of the countryside. I like to drive slow enough to enjoy the windows being down part of each drive. I am hoping to learn some alternative routes to all my locations soon.
I have also been enjoying, mostly, parenting my boy lately. 13 is a challenge, things seem to be either great or growly. When they are great though, they are awesome! He is a good boy who makes good choices and works hard to do well. He is doing great in school although, no surprise here, he is not an Algebra man. He has actually already surpassed me in Algebra though and is willing to keep plugging away. He has determined that he is not a football boy and is already looking forward to trying Cross Country next year. I’m happy with this idea, football is not my sport and the injury potential is terrifying to me. The broken bones will heal but another friend’s son has a pretty serious concussion. He can’t go to school or use his brain, yep, really, that’s the bottom line, so that he can heal. Scary!
I finally delivered on my birthday gift to our friend Ali yesterday – a photo session! It was enjoyable and I learned more about photography as well as Ali. Here is one of my favorites…
But there are a million! She wanted me to take pictures of her running barrels but my favorites are those that focus on her more than her and Pumpkin…
She is a great girl who I have known since she was three years old. She loves her horse and is a good ol’ tom boy. She is a loyal and dedicated friend to Marek and I am happy to say she is my friend as well. She is growing into a wonderful young woman. And, she is fun to photograph and gave me a ride on Pumpkin!
And now it’s time for me to head to work. It will be a good day, I hope you enjoy yours as well!
Denise
