A few things to smile about...

Well, Tuesday it is! Not much time left in the day but it has been good. Gratitude continues to be daily mantra! Focusing on blessings is truly difficult but worthwhile in changing and maintaining a positive outlook.

1. Sunday Marcus had a "weird" episode of strange vision and wiggling eyes - twitching back and forth - while driving home! Bad! I called 911 and off we went to the ER. After an overnight and all day Monday, we have no definitive answers. However, many things were ruled out. It seems it was "vertigo" or maybe some floating plaque causing a momentary blockage. He had an MRI and an MRA and a CT scan. Doctor seemed to feel good about sending him home to follow up with his own doctor. So... Pretty grateful that all is well!

2. I enjoyed my Tuesday workout. Kristen kicked my butt in "bootcamp" today. This is good! I love a good workout and I felt tough today. I really enjoy the variety of Kristen's workouts!

3. Marcus, Marek and I took a walk together tonight! With our happy dogs The weather is beautiful!

4. Back in July we had some home damage from a lightening strike. Bummer! Finally, we are getting some replacements. While I'm not dependent on TV, and in fact I sincerely could live without it! (Even though we don't have the Internet!) Marcus and Marek really like TV! It's nice to have the rigged up sound system out of the living room. Our new TV and entertainment system are cool! Can't wait for the iPod adaptor to hook tongue new sound system!

5. After a little episode of momentary child loss last week - Marek is the proud owner of a working cell phone with texting! It is extremely regulated (over the last 2 days) but he is now 100% reachable and can't be misplaced at the library! He is also able to have some social contacts with his peeps. I remember talking on the phone a lot when I was in 6th grade. Now there's no talking just texting! He is pretty excited and so are all the girls in school! Lol

6.

I love the fall! Weather is great! I wish I had this awesome pond or one like it in my yard but I'm grateful for the beautiful wilderness I do have!

7. I get to go to San Francisco in October! Might have mentioned this before but I'm still pretty grateful and excited!

8. School is going wonderfully - mostly! It has been an enjoyable first nine weeks. I had fun last Thursday with my peeps at the Topeka Water Festival. I'm so grateful for these students - they are fun! Check out our blog at www.jdlaservicelearning.org!

9. I'm grateful for my health and the good health of my family. I am optimistic that we will all continue to be healthy!

10. Fog is beautiful! There was a totally clear delineation of the fog and the clear sunny morning over he Kansas River!
