Well, it has been another large gap in blogging of nonsense. My life has been very full indeed! I am happy to announce that I am essentially free for the summer!! I have a couple of minor things to do for work – taking a special girl shopping and moving my office. One will be fun and one will likely suck. Ah, well, isn’t that life?! The good and the bad. So… I will catch you up with a few things and then I will re – enter the pondering zone!
So confirmation preceded a gajillion activities and culminated with 8th grade promotion. Woohoo! In other news, there are a few thoughts in between…
1. Physical therapy is amazing! I am actually done with twice a week visits and I am feeling stronger. My knee is feeling better, my heel is still sore but it is improving. I have Achilles tendonitis… but it is improving. I have been cut loose from appointments with orders to continue with exercises and follow up with my doctor. Back on the road!
2. A couple of weeks ago, Jenn and I decided to motivate ourselves to get it going on again by running a 5K on the trails. Yay!! We had a nice time catching up and we both finished without falling down or breaking down!
3. I have been feeling a need to re-increase my fitness… several months of eating junk and not really exercising hasn’t been amazing. I am glad I can get back to moving… and icing and stretching.
4. The last few weeeeks of school have been insane! Marek and I have both been full of things to do. One of which was the High School Pops Concert! Marek played the bass with the Jazz Band – AWESOME – and he was the microphone man for the rest of the show. It was a good show.
5. There were a wide variety of other activities … but I really don’t remember what they were specifically! I am focused on wrapping up the school year and moving on into summer!
6. Oh, yeah! Things I am looking forward to… mother daughter retreat coming up soon!! We are going to stay in a cabin at Tuttle Creek Lake for a couple of nights and chilllax together.
7. Still excited about the National Youth Gathering coming up in only a few weeks!! We are doing some group work before we leave in a month! It will be amazing!
8. 8th grade Promotion was excellent! I can’t believe that Marek is a freshman in High School! There will be some additional pondering this summer as I work through this! He had a good year; enjoying his teachers, sports and music. Oh, and his peers! Plenty of time with his friends, too!
Meanwhile, I am tired out and ready for bed! I am looking forward to another fun filled and fabulous day tomorrow! I will get some significant time in the garden tomorrow!! Sleep tight and I will ponder something other than basic reporting tomorrow!
