Yes, it was a gorgeous weekend. A strangely warm Friday and Saturday… sunshine and blue skies graced us in the wilderness… I finally fit in some time on the trail Friday and felt pretty good. Did a short four miles, two in and two back out. It got a bit dark by the end but it was beautiful! A good start to what amounted to a pretty relaxing weekend. It’s not often that you get weather in the fifties in January. Plus, I love this trail…
Always take the time to look up… sometimes you will be amazed! Other times you will suffer vertigo and almost fall down… well, that’s my story anyway. Lol, it was nice. I then went home and chillaxed with the guys.
Saturday, dawned warmer than Friday. Perfect for the long hike my friends Shelley, Julie, and I took. The drought is disturbing but it was a gorgeous scenery day. We enjoyed the entire day. Scenery, company, moving and the beer and food at the end. Good times were had by all! Enjoyed the company on the trail and at The Grainery… with the pub chips!
I’m hoping you had a good weekend as well. It is back to cold weather for a bit and back to work tomorrow. I am interested to see what we will see at the in-service, and maybe get some paperwork done in the afternoon.
Wondering if I can fit in some exercise between the in-service and the basketball games. I have got to get a routine going and increase my conditioning. Sounds good doesn’t it? More on that some other day. It’s time for bed now. A gajillion things to do tomorrow. Exciting stuff coming up! Hope you have some plans, goals and things to look forward to this week!!
