Well, I have been enjoying many things lately. I thought I would share them with you today. I hope that you have some things you are ready to enjoy!!
I really enjoyed my week last week. I had a lovely Thursday afternoon with the Knowledge Bowl team. They did great! I find the whole knowledge bowl thing to be pretty interesting. It seems like the kids are having fun. I think about things I haven’t thought about for ages. It is nice to see the kids learning and laughing. Friday we enjoyed many of the same kids at the KU Jazz Festival Band. It was the first time we heard the new OJSHS Jazz Band and they were AWESOME!
The concert was followed by a day of Jazz education for the peeps and a concert from the pros in the evening. We all attended and enjoyed the culture. Saturday I went to Milford with some friends to ride bikes and participate in a navigation class. It was pretty cool. Learned some tricks of the trade – adventure racing that is. We learned about compasses and UTM plotting and then ran a short course to practice our newly honed skills. I felt that I learned a lot and had a good day with the peeps!
This week has flown past. Mostly full of positives. Today I enjoyed my day today. I took some of my JDLA students to the Harvesters Food hand out today. It is such a good cause and fun, crazy and chaotic to load up miscellaneous food items into family sized containers and put them into cars for people who are in need of extra help. The kids have fun and so do I. After school, I enjoyed a wog with Jennifer. We are getting ready to run the Brew to Brew. Training is a good thing and we get to chat along the way. Shelley and I are ready to run the Thumper Adventure Race Saturday at Milford. I am hoping that the weather holds!!
All these positives. I am so blessed! I hope you are enjoying your daily living and finding cool and exciting things to do in your life. Take charge, make a plan and watch the awesomeness!

PS Another taste of awesomeness is the yummy recipe I got from Kristen Beer Chicken! Easy and delish! I used 4 chicken breasts and somehow they seem like 8 chicken breasts! Marek and I have eaten two dinners from them and there is some on my salad for tomorrow and another serving waiting in the wings!! Awesome!!
