#22 and #23 plus a few ponders

I am fascinated by the sky.  Whether it is a sunny day or a cloudy day I am usually mesmerized.  I guess that I’m not that interested when it is slate grey for days but, aside from that, watching the sky is pretty interesting to me.  I would quickly add the caveat that I am not interested in it in any scientific way WHATSOEVER!  We have had at least 4 inches of rain this last week so I’ve watched a lot of clouds roll past.  I took this after I wogged with Jennifer, we thought it would rain on us but instead it was sunny and hot.

In many ways I have really enjoyed our “at home” spring break.  We have been cleaning, lounging and going outside when weather permits.  I have been unproductive in areas that I am usually driven to be responsible and productive in relaxing.  I finally read the Hunger Games series.  It was actually very good.  I have been a reading slacker for the several months and am eagerly returning to my first love.

I have been enjoying some woodland hikes and Marek and I took a shot at a couple of geocaches yesterday.  While we didn’t find that actual geocache, we did enjoy the creek and flowers that we found.  I am hoping that the rain abates for a few days so that I can get out and about a bit more.  Today has dawned bright and beautiful and the forecast is sunny and warm.  I am hoping to take care of a few errands and to maybe take the kayak out this afternoon.  Sadly, my motorcycle is still in the shop with the oil leak problem.  I would work in the garden but it is now super muddy.  Maybe next week!

I need to take some time today to get reorganized for my real, non-spring break life.  Better double check the calendar and clean out my piles of paper in preparation for a return to the usual.  I am almost ready to get back to that!  By Monday at 6:00am I will be organized, rested and ready for a return.

OH!  The Brew to Brew is next Sunday!  There are currently 4000 runners registered which is crazy!  I haven’t really been running with any regularity lately and have been struggling to hit my stride and get a breathing rhythm but OH WELL!  I know that I can wog my 5 miles without dying and really, that is pretty good!  Actually, if I conveniently have a good day next Sunday I think I will feel pretty good.  I am optimistic that Marek will also be ready, he certainly thinks he’s ready!

Two last thoughts before I head out the door.  Marek is now TALLER than I am!!  Yikes!  He thinks he is pretty cool, and he is!  I can’t believe how fast time flies when you are a parent.  He is a good son and I am proud of him.  He is his own person and that has been the goal!  My last thought is for you.  I sincerely hope that you are feeling good, finding joy and taking time to relax and love the life you have!  I know that some days it is easier said than done!  Keep going!!
