360, 361, 362 we are almost at the end…

360 Wednesday January 18th, 2012

This is the view at dusk from the Governor’s mansion, Cedar Crest, on Wednesday.  Julie and I went for a walk at the trails before going to eat dinner at HuHot.  We had a good walk and talk.  I really enjoyed the evening with Julie.  I am worried though because her back is out of wack… but she is a good friend and still funny even with back pain. 

361 Thursday January 19th, 2012

Yep, a bit more basketball.  Although they haven’t won a game, they are fun to watch.  Marek is playing pretty well and boy, can he jump!  It is fun to watch the kids that have grown up with Marek play – both the boys and the girls.  It is also fun to see other parents and chat with them.  Our last league play game will be almost a month from now. 

362 Friday January 20th, 2012

Today at school, my boys and I built this picnic table.  This is their “silly” picture.  We had fun.  It was hard, the frame is crazy and wobbly when you put it together so it is hard to get the boards straight on the frame.  We worked for a couple of hours in the 16* feels like 8* winter weather.  By the time we headed back to school, it was 26^!  It was so fun to work with these goofy inexperienced boys in order to accomplish this task.  We were out on the Thuder Ridge Trail, helping out the US Army Corps of Engineers by rebuilding picnic tables.  We have another half done and next week we will build a small foot bridge to prevent wash out on the trail.  Fun times!  Hoping it will be a bit warmer though!  After school, I took a wog with the dogs – no actual wogging today though because my knee is a bit stiff after the weeks exercise.  Tomorrow, skating with the 4H Club!  Hope you are keeping busy with tasks that challenge and entertain!
