Terrific Tuesday

Wow! It is a beautiful rainy day here in Northeast Kansas. Gentle thunderstorms and soft rain are falling. I guess that shoots our scheduled "Outdoor Adventure" hike at the wetlands today. Oh well, we will try again tomorrow! There are many wonderful things about today!

1. It's raining! My garden is needing this drink.
2. I will spend today inside which I really need to do. The sunny summer weather has kept me outside but today I am given the gift of inside. Time to tidy up and balance the check book!
3. Coffee with my French Press and fresh milk from the Reid Ranch are delicious! Start your day the relaxing way!





4. I will have the chance to blanch and freeze my beautiful broccoli!





5. I will spend some time reading my current book. Barbara Kinsolver is one of my favorite authors and I am reading her newest novel, Lacuna. Interesting! It has complimented my coffee nicely for the last couple of hours!





6. My shin splints are gone!
7. I am thinking about lots of stuff. I like this.
8. I have much terriffic-ness to look forward to this week. Many awesome things to do with my boy! Tomorrow we will visit the Baker Wetlands. Thursday I will see Marek play some baseball and Friday we will leave for the State Geology field trip! (This is the ultimate in coolness!) Sheesh, sounds like I need a slow, relaxing day before the adventure begins!

10. I'm about to make some farm eggs into breakfast!
