My caring son!

Ah, so many blessings. I have been a blog slacker lately but only because I have been busy. So many things to ponder while keeping busy! Most recently I have noticed the wonderfulness of my son. He is such a great person. He has wanted to be a paleontologist for quite a number of years, well, not too long ago he announced that he wanted to be a trampolinist but, ya know; I took that one with a grain of salt! He told me the other day that he thought he wanted to be something I wouldn’t like much. I asked what that might be and he said, “A doctor.” Like I wouldn’t like that?! I asked what kind of doctor and he said the type of doctor who gives stitches and staples. Hmmm… no surgery. He added that he might also want to be a Pastor. Wow! Two amazing ideas!

His goal would be to “help people”. What a good person. I don’t know what he will be when he is grown but I do believe that he will continue to be the same person he is now – kind, caring, considerate, compassionate. He is sentimental and sweet to others. We have a write on/wipe off board on our refrigerator – a recent addition due to my desire to be more purposeful in the practice of prayer. We discussed the use of the board and how this would be good to help keep us focused on specific family and friends with special needs as well as those we pray for regularly. So after I erased it, Marek chose to write on it:

This picture is from last summer - cute and caring!

I know that Marcus and I are caring people and that we have worked to teach him care for others but really! I believe that Marek is innately sensitive to others. He just notices things about others and thinks about them. I love him and am so thankful that I have been blessed with this wonderful person in my life. Wow! Can’t wait to see what is in store for him in the future!
