Holy Cow! errrr... pig!

Wow!  My life is full lately and I am loving it!  Mostly!  There are many great things going on, many of them are really showing the passage of time.  With my daily speed averaging 90mph, my thoughts come out in bullets...

* Spring seems to finally be here!  Happy to mark the end, almost, of this long winter.  I have been in the garden a little.  There is sooooo much to do out there.  After last year's super drought, much has been neglected or has died.  I love to dig in the dirt so I am eager for the weather to stay warm enough to get out to the garden.

*We are the happy new owners of a larger and more powerful tractor!  Best part?  It has a bucket on it so now we can scoop and move dirt, mulch and rocks!  Finally, working towards completion of projects in the yard!

*I am reaching the end of my first year as an itinerate school social worker.  It has been a good year.  I have really enjoyed the new, stress free (mostly) work environment.  I have learned a lot about different school districts and teachers.  There are many things that I have found to be frustrating, even appalling but, for the most part, the kids are good.  I will do some things differently next year but really, I am looking forward to the same position.  I think that I am less burnt out than I have been the last several years.  WooHoo!

*We are reaching the end of Junior High!  This is amazing!  It seems like Marek was just a little boy and now he is ginormous, articulate, dating, about to drive and ready for new challenges.  He will be confirmed this Sunday!  He will be promoted on May 21st, only a couple of weeks from now.  There will be a flurry of crazy activities in the next weeks.  They mark the end of the school year and the beginning of new things for Marek.  I am proud of him.
