Well, things have been full and exciting of late. Many action oriented activities have been filling our days here at the Blunderosa. 4H, track, band, family visits, baseball, confirmation, hiking, politics and the normal average daily job. Whew, we have a full life and it is a good thing. Since our driving travel-ganza, we have been faced with the lack of springtime and the explosion of spring focused activities.
We are about 25 days away from the end of the school year. This is significant because it is a year of transition for our family. Marek will complete his two years of confirmation class and he will be promoted from Junior high to High School. He will take driver’s education and play a full season of American Legion baseball. Oh. My. He has recently been playing the baritone saxophone with the High School band as well as the Junior High band and it has been the season of band contests and performances.
Suddenly, he is such a teen ager, large and in charge. Life is fast and full and, most generally fun…. at the very least exhausting! Spring is such a culminating chaos, if only it would warm up a little, the chaos would be the tiniest bit more fabulous.
We are planning an extravaganza for the Confirmation and Promotion in a few weeks. I am hoping that the weather is magically fabulous. Meanwhile, we are wrapping up the school year projects and planning eagerly for summer projects. So many fun things in the next few weeks, I am looking forward to all of them, let’s just hope that I can survive the details!
Meanwhile, tomorrow looks like it will dawn bright and beautiful and sort of warmish. Yippee! A little gardening is planned! A parade, serving a meal to the folks currently living at our church and maybe a movie and a glass of wine before bed – these are all on the agenda for tomorrow. On a side note, I just watched a movie, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. It was lovely, “everything will be alright in the end, if it’s not alright then it’s not the end.” Seems true to me!! I am hoping that you have something to enjoy each day, big or small, enjoy them all!!
:D
