I awoke to thunder this morning! It was nice to know before going to bed that there would be no school today due to the extreme winter weather advisory. I was giddy white excitement watching the snow pour down this morning. It was literally pouring snow! I think we had four inches in an hour. I am so thankful for our warm home, awesome wood burning stove and stockpile of food. It makes a snow day much more enjoyable! Marcus had to head out to work this morning. He is a good snow driver so I know he will be safe. Marek slept late, what a great opportunity to catch up on his rest. I relaxed with coffee and my book for awhile. But it was hard to relax while snowmageddin broke out! I took some pictures and swept snow and finally, with about seven inches on the ground, I moved the jeep to the top of the driveway for future usage.
I am predicting that we have another snow day tomorrow. It just seems unlikely that the roads will be fit for busses by tomorrow. It has slowed down for now but allegedly there will be more to come. Chicken and noodles are cooking in the crockpot and we are cuddled up with a movie.
Soon, we will head outside to shovel a little and take some pictures of the snow. Should be a lovely rest of the day. What are you doing this snowy day? I hope you are cuddled up with something all comfy and warm!
