Well, not really. I have been vacant from this spot again lately. I think I have been in a funk or just living a very full life. I think that I have not been having enough fun. I have also been hitting some other goals… more reading, bedtime earlier and finishing what we have started! Although, I often wish for more hours in the day! I would love to have more time to be creative and to write a variety of things including this blog! Oh, and to work out and cook and garden!
No worries! I’m working to change this immediately!! One, I have been using my time poorly lately. When you lead a very full life, it is important to use your time wisely. That means planning ahead and capitalizing on all the minutes in the day. Every once in awhile, I lose my rhythm and need calibration! Therefore, I have enjoyed the last week … Valentines Day brought a lovely flower and gift from Marcus and I loved the gifts that I gave to my guys! We really enjoyed our Friday evening also, the Yard House was tasty and we had a fun time. I tested out the Rogue Brewery (Bend Oregon) Double Chocolate Stout – weird, but strangely delicious! I hope that I get to go to Oregon someday. Marcus has been to Bend, a friend from high school lives there and Oregon as a whole sounds interesting.
I have also set up some friend gathering dates and have a couple more dates to confirm! Whoopee!
I also had a great Saturday. Mom and I hung out and hit the garden show. The smell of potting soil and growing flowers is such a good thing! I bought some lettuce and spinach seeds. Then, mom’s Christmas gift to us was brought to fruition! We went to see Bill Cosby! I forgot how absolutely hilarious he is. Check it out, Google Bill Cosby and watch a video! Check out www.obkb.com! He was awesome and the company was fabulous! What a nice weekend!
We have also been making some progress on our projects. Finishing what we have started! That feels good. So. I am working on organizing myself again. It is definitely a repetitive task! Enjoying the moments that we have is not always as easy as it seems! Stay focused and choose wisely!
Tonight, a great dinner with my boy. Interesting that sometimes the best meals are really the most simple! Pork chops seasoned with sage from the garden and Worcestershire sauce, joined by our favorite potatoes: diced thick, tossed in olive oil and large kosher salt – both on the grill with sautéed spinach with fresh and steamed green beans and a couple of slices of grilled red pepper! Yum!! Marek was pretty satisfied as well. Plus, I added some white wine, Chardonay. This is something different for me and was a good wine snob growth activity! Most likely I will be sticking with reds!
There are many things that I am looking forward to in the next weeks. I am going to get organized and get it going on! I sincerely hope that you are finding things to enjoy and setting goals for each day. I’m off the slacker, overwhelmed bus and onto the forward motion quality time management bus! Gotta go read my awesome book and get to bed now. Have a good one! Set a goal and a boundary today!
