1. Always plan to leave early so that you can actually drive away around 10am!
2. Assign job duties based on strengths and use the kid as a runner. Marcus is the car packer. He can fit everything into the trunk just right. I organize the food and the extras. Find your niche and don't mess with success!
3. Take food and drink for the road. It's less expensive, more nutritious and allows you to stop at outdoor rest stops instead of greasy fast-food places which don't have the same ambiance as an outdoor rest area.
4. Pack entertainment for the ride. iPods, books, magazines and art supplies fill our drive time!

Pogo is a good rider and is fun to bring along! She will meet the extended family this trip!

5. MUSIC! Lots of it! Playlists that satisfy the whole family are very diverse but interesting!
6. Share the drive. We trade every two hours no matter what. This helps save both drivers.
7. Have fun, relax, breathe deeply!
