Holy cow! The first two weeks of June have been full of adventure and amazement. Building a summer full of action and adventure has been excellent yet slightly exhausting depending on the day! Several of these adventures deserve their very own post so I will save the details for the future! I am nearing the end of the second week and anticipating some relaxation and writing at that time!
Meanwhile, a few things and maybe sneak peeks! Like this one of our awesome mother daughter retreat!
I’ve been working on my working out lately. Sometimes my heel – Achilles tendonitis – is totally painful and other days it isn’t. This really impacts my wogging, running and basic walking. BOO! On the other hand, I’m pushing through it and icing my foot daily. I am also working to do my physical therapy exercises a few times each week. I follow up with the doctor next week.
I’m getting back on the trail biking again. Love it! Especially the Lawrence River Trails! I wish I was closer so that I could ride those every day!
I made some cool art on the mother daughter trip. I have been wishing for time to experiment with multi-media collage and finally found it! I love the result and can’t wait to make another with a different theme.
I have been trying to focus on the words healthy vs. unhealthy instead of skinny vs. fat. This is of course, a long ponder. Body image is a difficult topic, especially for women. I think that I am pretty fit but, I am disappointed that I have gained ten pounds since Christmas and steadily maintained it. Even though I feel “fat”, it isn’t so much the weight that is the problem, it really is that I have lost some fitness level over the last few months. I can’t run as far and feel weak. Soooo, I’m not fat or skinny and my overall healthiness has slipped. Gotta get on it!
My baby is learning to drive! Their class “seat time” is daily for the first two weeks of June. Marek just got his permit and is now practicing his driving skills. whoa….
I am super excited about our upcoming youth group trip to Texas. The more me meet and discuss, the more excited I get. We got together to tie dye some t-shirts for the gathering. It was fun and we discussed the details of our trip. It will be absolutely awesome!
There are are many things to share with you and I am ready to do some writing in the next week. I hope all is well with you! Find some adventure folks!!
