Today was a good day!

I have been slacking here in blog land lately.   I have been slacking on a few things lately but it’s time to give that up!  I have been making progress on some goals – the fitness ones!  I am signed up for the UTM tracking course and the Thumper AR race with Shelley.  Pretty excited about this!  My knee has been feeling pretty good.  I have wogged 10 miles this week which is great.  Tomorrow I am joining Shelley and Julie on the trails for both hiking and biking.  Hope to run a bit on the trail.

Today I enjoyed a couple of hours with my JDLA peeps working on our project with Kyle from the USACE.  We are building some raised beds for native grasses and flowers.  It was cold and as usual the boys weren’t dressed for the weather.  They did great though.  They stuck it out and we built six today.

My highlight of the day started with my arrival home to pick up the dogs and head to Slough Creek Ed Point for a wog.  A beautiful sunny day and wogging at the lake, what could go wrong?  So I wogged my 3 miles and felt super great.  I averaged a little less than an 11 minute mile which is sweet for an old lady with a bad knee!  I arrived back at my jeep and started to stretch but Pogo was wandering a bit so I unlocked the jeep and tossed both Pogo and the keep into the jeep.  I returned to stretching… but only for a moment as I immediately realized that she could lock the jeep easily.  AND… She DID!  Doh!  No chance of an unlock as the button only goes down with the force of the paw.  Dang!  I called my loving husband who nicely came to get me!  A bit of a crazy ending for an average wog.  Beautiful sunset across the wetlands, nice beaver chomping.

I have also decided to go back to the 365 photos theory.  I really enjoyed taking the pictures and it made me work to find some good shots.  I may not post all of them here but the best ones will be here.  I am going to start on March 1st.  YAY!  Can’t wait for some spring photo ops!

So, that’s my day!  I’m excited for tomorrow.  Good daytime plan for fun followed by date night with my wonderful husband.  We are going to dinner and then we will go see Reverend Horton Heat at the Bottleneck.  It should be a great day.  Hope you have plans for something fun!
