Wow, I am happy to say that I am enjoying an evening home alone relaxing with you, TV and a glass of wine! Wooo hoo! Marcus is working and Marek is hanging out with his peeps all around town. They are good kids and we live in a small town so everything is good. We have been up to a variety of things and I have been thinking of many things todiscuss. First I will catch you up with some of my activities of late…
We celebrated Marcus’ birthday on the 25th. It was nice and we enjoyed dinner with friends and family. Marek and I gifted him a White Sox t-shirt and a family fun pack that included a movie gift card, redbox rentals, hockey tickets and a day of family thrift/antique/junk store shopping and poking around. I think he liked it and we will enjoy it for the next couple of months!
We went to see Junior Brown on Friday. It was awesome! We went with friends and enjoyed dinner and the show.
Saturday morning, I took the 4H Leadership kids off to the Villages Challenge course. It was freezing! It was really fun and I think they enjoyed and learned all at the same time. I hope that we will return next year, starting a new tradition. Fun times!
Saturday evening, Cryin’ Out Loud …
played at The Grainery and they hosted a costume contest. I really enjoyed hanging out with friends for the evening. Can’t beat good music, good food and good friends!
Loved Julie’s costume!! If you haven’t read the www.theblogess.com you should stop by to peruse it, she cracks me up! I was impressed with Julie’s creativity. The Justus’ were Giant fans – they won the World series – the Giants, not the Justus’!
Marek even dance one dance with me!
Sunday we went to church and then had lunch with our dear friends, the Schlossmans. We enjoy spending time with them and Marek and Matthew are good buddies.
Monday was my actual birthday and I requested spending the evening at home! Four nights of eating out and drinking beer needed to be followed up with a night of relaxation and wine! It was lovely! Best gift ever, dinner at the table with my guys!
Then, it was Halloween. Whew! I didn’t do anything other than drop Marek in town and work on decorations for our Haunted Forrest. It will be cool – I hope!! We have a record number of rsvp’s – 60 people counting the kids! WooHoo!!
And now, it’s November! Time is flying past! I have numerous observations about life in general as well as parenting, stupidity, education and life in the wilderness that I hope to share in the next days. Hope I find some sit down time to share the random ponders!! Hope your days are going well!!
