I had some goals for my life at the beginning of this blogging, one was to be less irritated with my husband and son or at least NOT show or share my obvious irritation with them. I think that this has minimized throughout the year. Actually, blogging has helped me keep this more in front of me so to speak, I am more conscious of my choices and behaviors with this blog needing to be honest. Weird, but good.

I also attempted two more concrete goals. To read the bible at least five days a week and to consistently write this blog. Well. The bible goal didn't make it but the blog did. The bible goal just never got worked into a workable routine. I sort of stopped trying to make it work though so perhaps I owe a little more effort here at the end of the year! I had some other more vague goals combined into numerous posts, some worth reviewing. One was to read more enriching, positive and informative books. I started with the Michael Pollen book, In Defense of Food and moved on from there. I did read many interesting and informative books - more than I might have read without the conscious thought to do so. I like it and will continue. However, I must admit that for awhile, I read less! Gasp! As a lifetime heavy, heavy reader I was suddenly distracted by reading blogs! So different for me but worthwhile and interesting. I am back to my normal reading plus a new perusing of non fiction books. I have read a lot about character development in children and I have begun reading books about how ideas and creativity are developed. Hmmm... Food for thought!
So, I think I like this blogging. I do think that it helps me stay focused on the positives in my life. I do think that I have been scattered and that I am easily distracted by superficial rambling thoughts... Oh, but wait, that is my true nature! Big ideas and tangential traipsing through randomness! I am going to continue blogging. I will do a better job of blogging at least four times a week and of using better labels. I may work to find some more followers - know any? Have a great December!
