It’s been another week full of fabulous and other stories…

I have been enjoying a very full life lately.  This is good but it means that I haven’t found time to get all the random ponders out of my head by writing!  Whew, my brain is overflowing with miscellaneous ponders and piddling thoughts.  I am enjoying my new job but it has led to many ponders.  Why do people who don’t like kids go into education?  Why do people judge children?  Why does education try to fit every child into the same box?  Well, you see where that leads me!  No where!

Why are people so obsessed with reality TV?  Why do I stay up so late on school nights?

Update, the best intervention so far for the hot flashes is Black Cohosh with Soy Isoflavins.  I got a bottle of HyVee capsules and have been taking them for over 60 days.  Doesn’t quite eliminate them completely but they help immensely.  They may be helping stabilize my moodiness or that is a psychological side effect of reduced hot flashes. Woohoo!

Lately I have not been exercising.  My new job has changed my routine and I am struggling to get a handle on fitting in my wogging.  I think this slackerness has finally manifested in back pain.  Wow!  By the end of the day Friday I really couldn’t stand upright.  Ice, rest and some yoga have helped.   I am now eight weeks into the job and ready to create a real routine after work.  I think it is the commuting that has thrown me off.  I’m correcting this effective today.  Took the kayak out for some light paddling today which really helped the back by stretching.  Tomorrow, the chiropractor and some wogging on the trail or if the weather holds maybe a quick paddle.

Is it only in the wilderness of Oskaloosa that people let PIGS run loose in their yard?  Seriously, I was used to the flocks of chickens, geese and ducks and even the wandering goats but pigs?  They are actually pretty cute.  I stopped and talked to them and they listened.  I tried to warn them that they might become dinner but they just grunted.  They have been in the road several times lately.  Weird.

Tomorrow is the last Jr. High football game and likely Marek’s last ever official football game.  It has been a learning experience for him but he is not a football boy.  Next we have a sports break!  Yippee, time to play the bass, rearrange his room and chillax as a family!

Better head to bed, it’s almost midnight and tomorrow is another day full of adventure.

Have a great day!

Denise
