223, 224, 225, 226 The blues are lifting!

Wednesday August 31st, 2011 Took a wog on my hornet’s nest trail.  Yep, still there!!  Looks a bit bigger now.  Ack!  Good wog despite the copious quantities of spider webs!  Then off to the 4H parents meeting, it was actually a good night.

Thursday September 1st, 2011.  First Junior High Football game.  That is Marek there in the number 21.  He didn’t get to play, the eighth grade team is essentially the “A” team and it ended up being a bit of a tight game.  A few seventh graders got to play.  I got to watch all the junior high volley ball games followed by football.  It is fun to see the kids I’ve know for years growing up.  I am getting adjusted to the girl based dramas of Junior High.  Yikes, glad to have a boy!  IMAG0443

Ali took this with her phone…kinda cute isn’t he!!

Friday September 2nd busy day, but a good day.  After school took Marek and a friend to dinner and a movie.  Marcus and I enjoyed listening (for awhile) to the squeaky giggles of the junior high boys.  We FINALLY saw the last Harry Potter movie.  Pretty good but I wish I had more recently watched the first half.  It was a good ending to a busy and sort of bleh week.  I also got my gear ready for a wog on Saturday with Shelley.  Here is my awesome camelback with the bladder out and my compass.  IMAG0445

Oh My!!  I have been a bit busy and overwhelmed lately!  All things considered, everything is actually pretty good.  I have just been a bit bleh.  Sometimes that happens to the best of us.  I had a great day today and I’m looking forward to the rest of the weekend being awesome.  I think I’ll be awesome too!

Today I wogged the farthest I have ever wogged at one time!  Eight miles!!  Crazy, huh?  Then we biked about six miles.  The ball of my right foot is pretty sore tonight but I felt pretty good most of the day.  Originally we were going to bike longer but Shelley wasn’t feeling good, happily she recovered pretty rapidly.  We went with her friend Sandra who is an ultra marathon runner and SUPER nice.  She set a slow small stride pace and off we went.  I had to walk the last mile or so but I walked almost as fast as she was wogging.  I am proud of myself for keeping up, my previous max is 5 miles so this was pretty awesome.  Don’t think I could do it daily, Sandra averages about 70 miles each week!  For real!!  Super studmeister!

Looking forward to the long Sunday over to Monday with Marcus and Marek.  We are hoping for a little local vacation on our motorcycles.  The weather should be lovely and the ride will be scenic!  More on that later!  Hope you are having a wonderful long weekend with your peeps.  I, for one am looking forward to being awesome instead of bleh!
